The abdominal area is one of the hardest areas of the body to develop muscles since this is where most of the body fat is deposited. Getting six pack abs requires a balance between ab workouts and discipline. Ab workouts are mostly done simple by lying down and trying to retain the position in which the muscles in the abdominal area are flexed inward. This may seem easy but once you start the exercise, you will find it very difficult to maintain. The crunch and the bicycle are two of the most efficient ways of getting six pack abs. The crunch is simply using the power of the abdominals to lift the body from the waist up while the bicycle stimulates riding a bicycle while lying down.

Most of us would like to be leaner and become stronger or just plain want to have bigger muscles all round. I got back into weight train after a lot of years off with one purpose to negate the effects of getting older.
