What you find in bodybuilding magazines week in week out is always variations on a theme and that is how bigger stronger muscles are formed. The same process is told a myriad of different ways by as many different editors and trainers.
There are the pictures and the routines of the great bodybuilders of the sport. But unless you are a super genetically gifted athlete like them, how are you going to follow their mega routines. It is what they do all day every day for a living, they are at the top of the sport and their life style supports their elite status of being able to do Bodybuilding for a living.
My self like many of the population need to get up out of bed in the morning, get 8 hours of work in and ensure I have time for family life as well.
4 Principles Of Bodybuilding
I suspect if these magazines told you the key to Bodybuilding consist of only four principles, they are always the same and here are those 4 principles of body building explained in an easy to understand format. If you apply them diligently your muscle will get bigger they would not sell many more magazines!

Back to school!
This might sound a bit boring and back to schoolish but there are two bits of human biology you must understand for effective bodybuilding and strength training.
Hypertrophy
The human body has a marvellous ability to adapt to increasing amounts of work you put it through. When you work your muscles to failure you are causing microscopic tears in the fibres which make up the muscle. The body repairs these tears adding a little bit more size to the diameter of the fibre and also adds a little more strength to allow it to cope better with the trauma caused by training next time.
This repair process is called Hypertrophy. It is how muscles grow bigger. You must train hard enough to cause the muscles damage so they can repair themselves bigger and better than they were.
At this point it is worthy to note the important role of your own genetics. The amount of fibres your muscles are composed of is set by your genetic make up. You cannot increase the amount of fibres; you can only increase the size of the ones you have.
Training Hard At Bodybuilding
If your natural untrained physique is lean, narrow shoulders with a flat chest you will not make the competition winning gains of the naturally stocky broad shouldered barrel chested individuals because you just do not have the same amount of fibres to work with. But training hard at bodybuilding you will be able to produce an impressive lean athletic appearance.

For the love of the sport.

The amount of information about bodybuilding on the internet is just massive, there is just so much information.
There are as many different points of view about body building and strenght training as there are websites.
There is a vast array of weight training programmes, reps, what types of exercises are best, what supplements to take and what to eat. They are all different and many are of course the latest underground secret!
All of these sites are probably right for the person writing the information, it worked for them. Unless of course the site is just there to promote that latest XZY anabolic super blaster body building muscle gainer which has been upgraded to include kryptonite for even bigger gains in just 24 hours and all you need to do is just look at the weights and you will get bigger!!!
Anyway I resolved to find what really works and what a sensible routine for bodybuilding and strength training.
So I researched what recurring recommendations were on the web sites and other publications to find out what worked consistently in common practice for most people.
As I went along I wrote it all down, started using it and noted what seem to work for me.
Over that couple of years I had a mass of information and it occurred to me that to I could be something a bit more with, hence the website.
