Weight Training log for bodybuilding

The biggest gains are made by training your brain

If you neglect to fully utilise any of these steps you will be wasting your valuable time training. How do you know you are utilising each of the four steps to maximum benefit. The answer is about as simple as it gets…you write it down.

“A short pencil is better than a long memory”

Keeping a log of what you lift and what you eat is quite simply essential.

Record what exercise you are doing and importantly how much you lifted that session. You then know as you look back that you benched pressed 80 kg last week and that you must progress by pressing at least 85 this session.

Plan and write down what you are going to eat because you need to eat such a high volume for body building knowing you have eaten enough is vital.

Eating Elephants!

First, do not plan to eat the elephant whole! By that I mean the only possible way to eat an elephant would be to break it down into bite size chunks and just get started.

Find the time to prepare your body building food keeping it as fresh as you can. High protein sandwiches of egg, tuna or chicken are easy to take to work and eat at regular intervals. A high protein bars and or a shake if you cannot take breaks readily at work.

To shift all that protein and keep a balance diet (and a balanced life) is quite a formidable task. When you start it is as hard as the training itself as you seem to be forever eating and if you are not eating, you are preparing and if you not preparing you are training!!!

Need To Plan

For successful bodybuilding and strength training you will need to plan what you buy, check the protein content, Check the calories, and check the fats. Write it all down and study it.

Going back to genetics if you are writing down what you are doing, you can study what you have done, see what body building and strength routines and nutrition works for YOU and what doesn’t.
Repeat what works disregard what doesn’t. It matter not who said it works if it don’t work for you it IS a waste of time so drop it.

Don’t be the best built pauper
in the world!

Always keep an eye on the price of your food, protein and supplements. Body building can be a money-pit. Particularly if you get drawn in into the adverts in the magazines. Plenty of eggs milk and chicken are as good as that latest XZY anabolic super blaster body building muscle gainer which has been upgraded to include kryptonite.

Bodybuilding worth the effort?

In Bodybuilding there are no short cuts, just hard work and sweat; your mates will be in the bar while you are banging more weight on the end of a bar.

You will be feeling so sore the day after that you can hardly walk.

You will be feeling like you are going to puke when you over do it, feeling guilty if you have a beer or a cake.

You know you are getting fed up counting calories, counting grams of protein, counting reps.

                       SO

If you think about all that pain and effort for a while, you have just got to ask yourself is it all worth it?

Is bodybuilding worth it? Of course it ####ing is!

"YEH OF COURSE IT'S ####ING WORTH IT!"
