The biggest gains are made by training your brain.
If you neglect to fully utilise any of these steps you will be wasting your valuable time training. How do you know you are utilising each of the four steps to maximum benefit. The answer is about as simple as it gets…you write it down. 

“A short pencil is better than a long memory”

Keeping a bodybuilding training log of what you lift and what you eat is quite simply essential to
bodybuilding success.

Record what exercise you are doing and importantly how much you lifted that session in your training log. You then know as you look back in bodybuilding training log that you benched pressed 80 kg last week and that you must progress by pressing at least 85 this session.

Use your training log to plan and write down what you are going to eat because you need to eat such a high volume for bodybuilding knowing you have eaten enough is vital.

Cook it,
Find time to eat it!

All that training and eating is a Mammoth task. So do not plan to eat the Mammoth whole but do plan how to eat it! By that I mean the only possible way to eat an Mammoth would be to break it down into bite size chunks then just get started. 

For bodybuilding success you need to plan.

Find the time to prepare your bodybuilding food keeping it as fresh as you can. High protein sandwiches of egg, tuna or chicken are easy to take to work and eat at regular intervals.

A
high protein bar and or a shake will be a easy fix if you cannot take breaks readily at work. 

Write it all down in your bodybuilding training log and study it.

Going back to genetics if you are writing down what you are doing, you can study what you have done. It is then easy to check what bodybuilding and strength routines and nutrition plans work for YOU and what doesn’t.
 
Repeat what works for you disregard what doesn’t. It matter not who said it what is the best food or routine ever if it don’t work for you it IS a waste of your time so drop it.

Always keep an eye on the price of your food, protein and supplements. Bodybuilding success can be a money-pit. Particularly if you get drawn in into the adverts in the magazines. Record your cost as well as what yuou eat as if doing a household budget.
